Dead Weight | Lavender & Vetiver Sleep Soak | Magnesium Bath Salts
I call this my 'Lead Blanket' in a jar.
When the mind refuses to shut down, the body has to lead the way. I formulated Dead Weight as a heavy, magnesium-rich soak designed to physically drag you down into relaxation.
The Scent: This smells like sleep and soil.
Vetiver: The dominant note. It smells like deep earth and roots, which is incredibly grounding.
Lavender & Chamomile: The classic sedatives, but the Vetiver keeps them from smelling too 'soapy.'
Tonka Bean: Adds a creamy, warm finish that makes the water smell comforting.
How I Use It:
The Knockout: I dump a generous handful into hot water about 20 minutes before I want to be asleep.
The Rule: I soak until my limbs feel too heavy to lift. Then—and this is key—I do not rinse. I dry off and drag myself directly to the sheets. The magnesium needs to stay on the skin to work its magic.
